Four outdoor gas grills were rated “Best” by ConsumerSearch (CS) based on consumer reviews, expert opinion, and other product review sources. CS provides mini and longer reviews of four gas grill brands on their website:
- Brinkmann 810-8411-5.
- Weber Spirit E-310.
- Weber Genesis E-320.
- Weber Q-200.
ConsumerSearch claims "...at no point are our editors influenced by advertising or other commercial considerations." The organization investigates and recommends a variety of products. CS is a consumer service from about dot com. The company provides on-line product ratings and reviews, such as the “Best” lawn mowers, "Best" lawn tractors, and the “Best” weed eaters.
Weber Gas Grill Reviews
The Weber Genesis E-320 (est. $700) is rated the “best all-around gas grill” by CS. The E-320 model is not difficult to assemble, and is built for long-term durability. The available finishes are black, green, and copper. The same model is available for propane or natural gas use. According to expert reviews the E-320 will last for many years. The CS review lists the E-320’s features:
- Cooking space is 507 square inches.
- The warming rack area is 130 square inches.
- Porcelain enameled.
- Cast iron grates.
- The three burners are stainless steel.
- Heats evenly.
- “Strong” warranty.
- Good customer service ratings.
The CS longer E-320 review web page states Consumer Reports provides in-depth testing information about the E-320 for subscribers. The only two “cons” mentioned for this model are the cost and the “limited work space.”
Weber Portable Campground or Tailgating Gas Grills
The Weber Q-200 (est. $190) portable gas grill features (not found in many similar priced models) the same porcelain enameled and cast iron grates as in the full size Weber models. The high quality Q-200 can cook up to nine burgers, and has two flip-out tables. The model is designed for 14.1 ounce propane canisters. an adapter can be attached for a 20 pound refillable propane container.
The Weber Spirit E-310 (est. $500) sacrifices some features to keep the price competitive. CS raves about its high quality construction stating “Weber products and customer service earn high marks from owners and reviewers.” another praise goes to the E-310 10 minute heating time. The model has 424 square inches of cooking area.
Reviews of Brinkmann Outdoor Gas Grills
CS selects the Brinkmann 810-8411-5 (est. $200) as the “Best Budget Gas Grill.” The review comes with a list of Brinkmann negatives:
- Brinkman gas grills “rank below” the more expensive Weber models.
- Not as durable as Weber models.
- The model has a “short warranty.”
- The model has no thermometer.
CS states the Brinkmann 810-8411-5 has an abundance of features for the price, including four burners which are stainless steel. The model comes with a “side burner and warming rack,” bottle opener, utensil area, and a holder for beverages.
