What Do You Prefer? Grill Cooking or Gas Cooking? Does Both Give The Meat The Same Taste? What Do You Think?

Gas grill problem and the game starts soon. Can you help me?I have a gass grill and Im not getting enough pressure. I replaced the fuel tank and cleaned the fuel lines with a small needle. I can feal the gas coming out of the lines but when I hook everything back up I can only get good pressure from just one burner at a time and it only lasts for a few seconds. If I turn on a second burner than the first almost totaly dies out. Any suggestions would be nice. maybe the tank I just got has fuel but not enough pressure?

It's All Good: There are some swell ribs in Bellville

Like a lot of people, I have a love-hate relationship with barbecue ribs. More often than not, they're a huge letdown.

Too fatty. Too dry. Lousy sauce.

But when they're good, they're sublime.

KC's Steak and Rib House is the first restaurant I've been to in years with ribs that merit getting messy in public.

Lee Ann Hoffman said her husband, Tim, feels the same way.

"He doesn't ever send food back at restaurants, but he's actually sent ribs back a couple of times," Lee Ann said. "Here, he thinks they're wonderful."

I joined the Hoffmans, of Johnsville, and their sons Stone and Case for dinner recently at the Bellville restaurant. She is a teacher's aid in the handicapped unit of Johnsville Elementary School. he is a pesticide inspector for the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

The Hoffmans had tried KC's years ago, but said they more or less forgot about it in the hustle and bustle of raising two boys.

"It seems like we'd always head toward Ontario," Tim said.

"But there you can't get a seat," Lee Ann said. "They tell you it's a two-hour wait. who wants to wait two hours?"

That's why they rediscovered KC's in April. Since then, it has become their weekly standard.

Tim always gets the back ribs, which I couldn't resist, either. Lee Ann and her boys ordered burgers.

"The chef cuts his own steaks in the back and makes all his own ground beef with the steak leftovers," Lee Ann said. "That's why the burgers are to die for."

Owner Loretta Daily, 48, said none of the meat is ever frozen, and it all comes from Lanning's Foods in Mount Vernon.

Her son, Bob Zack, 29, is the one working magic in the kitchen.

"It's all Bob's own recipes," Loretta said. "Some were my old family recipes from growing up that he ... improved on."

Another son, Adam Zack, 28, can generally be found tending the bar.

"We're a family-operated business," said Loretta, who with her husband, Roger, also runs a farm in Bellville.

"Everybody's so nice in here," Lee Ann said. "We can bring the kids. ... It's a nice family place, I think."

I know I enjoyed my first KC's experience. It's just a stone's throw south of Mansfield, and the log-cabin exterior gives way to a rustic-but-spotless interior that smells of divine beefy goodness.

If I had one criticism, it would be that there's only one barbecue sauce option. I generally like a bit more heat than the average customer. But after one taste, I didn't miss the heat.

Ribs that meaty and fall-off-the-bone tender can be as sweet as they please.

  • Coleman RoadTrip Portable Tabletop Gas Grill – this RoadTrip Grill from Coleman is a portable one that needs to be placed on top of a table when it is to be used since it does not have its own stand like the other grills in its league but it can still give you the kind of grilled food that you want whenever you want it. this portable grill features a cooking surface that measures 245 square inches, making it big enough to cook for two to four people at one time, has a warming rack to keep the other grilled items warm while you cook more food for more people in your party and a built in temperature gauge to help you keep track of how hot your grill is.

This portable RoadTrip tabletop gas grill from Coleman also features an easy to start InstraStart ignition that does not require you have a match to start it off, can be used with either a single 16.4 ounce propane cylinder or a 20 pound propane tank, which makes it useable on the road during camping trips, while tailgating or at home in your back yard or patio. If you want this grill to be a permanent fixture on your patio and you want to have it on its own stand instead of a tabletop, you can actually get an accessory stand for it from the line of grill accessories that Coleman has for you. this RoadTrip grill has a grease management system that makes it easy to clean since the grease that drips out of your food falls into a grease tray that easily slides out for cleanup.

  • Coleman Road Trip Pro Grill SS – Another one of the quality grills you can find from the Coleman RoadTrip line is the Coleman Road Trip Pro Grill SS which features a cooking surface that measures 345 square inches, a porcelain coated cooking surface that makes it easy to cook food on and easy to clean afterwards as well, a stainless steel grill hood, side tables that can be stored easily into its sides and a folding cart that you can easily store away as well. this grill is an ideal companion to bring along when you and your family are planning on going out camping for a day or two or when you and your buddies are planning a weeklong trip into the wilderness to rough it out. You can bring along either a 16.4 ounce propane cylinder for such trips for use on this grill. You can also use this grill with a 20 pound tank of propane for home use with the help of an accessory hose that you can get separately from the grill’s manufacturers.

Aside from these features, your Coleman Road Trip Pro Grill SS also has an easy to ignite burner that does not require a match, a grease management tray that makes it easy to clean out grease drips from your food after cooking, movable heat tents and very convenient tool holders for you to place your grilling tools on for ease of access and usage. Owners of this grill cite that they can even use this grill as a smoker when they need to smoke instead of grill their food and they can also add lava rocks around the burners when they feel like doing so. Some of them have even found that the grill also works well with pots and pans whenever they need to cook or fry anything on the road, making this grill an ideal companion for any outdoor excursion.

Some owners also find that the Coleman RoadTrip Sport Grill keeps food moist while grilling with the help of water in the drip pan, although there are some issues that have to be addressed with the same drip pan which seems rather awkward to remove from the grill without spilling the water on the burners.

  • Coleman 9940-A55 Roadtrip Party Grill – if you are looking for a truly compact portable grill to carry with you in your car or have stashed in a cupboard in your home for times when you need a grilling surface to cook on, the Coleman 9940-A55 Roadtrip Party Grill is the portable grill for you. this rather compact, lightweight and easy to lug around grill comes in a round package that measures 12.8 inches x 12.8 inches x 11.5 inches, making it one of the smallest portable gas grills around. this rather small size does not mean that it cannot serve you well since it can do more than just grill your burgers, dogs or steaks for you while on the road or while tailgating. You just need to remove the non-stick grill from this cooker and you can then use it for boiling water, prepare stews or fry up some sausages whenever you feel like it.

Other features that you will also love with this very miniscule yet very efficient grill include the InstaStart ignition that allows you to light up your grill even without the use of matches, the detachable legs and the dishwasher safe components which make it easy to clean and store away when it is not needed and the reasonable price tag that makes it a good bargain. Some of the things that some users find needs a bit of working on is the uneven heat distribution that the grill has which makes the central part hotter than the outer edges of the grill and the dropping of the removable legs every time the grill is moved around.

Owners of this portable gas grill state that cleaning up this grill was actually easier than they expected and the interchangeable grills, griddle and stove top attachments make it ideal for camping trips and for cooking a variety of dishes, not just for grilling. Some of the problems that users have with this grill though include the problems with the gas regulator leaking if the unit is left out in the sun for a long period of time and the aluminum grills melting over very high heat.
